Because BRICKrhetoric is a quarterly publication, with four issues published annually in the months of February, May, August and November, submissions are accepted year-round.
Submissions to BRICKrhetoric should be identifiable with the premises of multiculturalism, urban life and/or community action/engagement. Although this connection does not need to be blatant, it should be an underlying theme in all submissions.
Submissions to multiple genres are permitted. Follow the guidelines below when submitting to each genre.
poetry
Size limit: up to 6 poems; no line limit

Science as Art category includes: photographs or drawings of creative/artistic science projects; or, artwork, photography, poetry or prose with a scientific theme**this category is inspired by the selected works of Czech poet and immunologist, Miroslav Holub.
